The Much-Maligned Tiger
The Much-Maligned Tiger
By Thom Dicomidis
A lonely young tiger
misplaced at the zoo
Is on his way home,
he’s enjoying the view…
A left, then a right,
this place is a maze!
He feels he’s been walking
for four or five days…
But some of the other
creatures he passes
Are making mean jokes
Both the snakes,
And the asses
I’m faster than you…
You’re smaller than me…
Oh much-maligned tiger
Can you climb a tree?
“We talk”,
Said the parrots
“We laugh”:
The hyenas
Before you can growl
there’s an ocean between us.
But don’t be crestfallen
Our young tiger friend…
Your return will discover…
A party!
The End

I loved the parrot -honestly- and the banner “Tigers rule”, it was hilarious! Really good story!
I also liked the Tiger Fest. Great follow-up story. Will have to read it to the little ones in the morning.
You are *so* cute. Seriously, send to publishers.
