Total Recall or Total… dumb… balls..? Shut up & have a dark chocolate & ginger brownie…
So who knew that the remake of a fairly crap action film from 1990 would end up being a fairly crap action film from 2012? Me, that’s who, so I went and prepared an alternative post rather than struggling to find something less boring than the airless death of writing about crash-test-dummy/action star Colin Farrell. So…
DARK CHOCOLATE & GINGER BROWNIES (VEGAN)
the bit that’s hardly shopping
1 packet of vegan-kosher ginger biscuits
1 large bar of vegan-kosher dark chocolate
350g of vegan-kosher demerara sugar
80g of vegan-kosher cocoa powder
250g of vegan-kosher plain flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of icing sugar
0.5 litres of a non-solution of water (0.25 litres) & vegetable oil (0.25 litres)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
the bit that’s hardly baking
Turn the oven up to 180 °C.
Melt the dark chocolate onto the bottom of a rectangular baking tray or casserole dish to act as a base and allow to cool.
Smash and crush the ginger biscuits into a relatively fine powder.
Mix biscuit crumbs and the remaining non-liquid ingredients in a bowl.
Add aforementioned liquids and stir until uniformly delicious.
Spread over the solidified base and bake for 30(ish) minutes in the preheated oven until the crust is crisp and the insides gooey.
